Texas has no statewide general-contractor license, so Lakeway runs its own permitting. Kitchen, bath, and whole-home work with plumbing, electrical, structural, or mechanical changes requires a City of Lakeway building permit and inspection through Building & Development Services. In the newer master-planned sections — Rough Hollow, Flintrock Falls, Serene Hills — an HOA architectural committee also reviews exterior work. Hill Country slope and tree rules apply throughout, and Lake Travis waterfront lots add LCRA shoreline and floodplain considerations. We prepare the drawings, file the city permit, carry the HOA review where it applies, schedule inspections, and close everything before final payment.
