Kitchen Remodeling · Northern Dallas–Fort Worth
Kitchen remodeling across northern DFW
A Texas kitchen remodel costs between $15,000 and $150,000+, depending on whether you keep the layout or reconfigure it. TrueForm Remodeling serves the northern Dallas–Fort Worth metro — North Dallas, the Park Cities, Collin County, northern Denton County, and the NE Tarrant corridor — with three fixed-price tiers before demo: Refresh at $15K–$25K, Reconfigure at $35K–$55K, and Full Custom at $75K–$150K+. Every kitchen scope separates labor, materials, permits, appliance assumptions, envelope risks, and change-order rules, then ships with a 3-year workmanship warranty and one project manager from walkthrough to handoff.
Fixed-price tiers
Pricing reflects 2026 Texas baseline ranges for a typical 75–150 sq ft kitchen, then calibrates for local conditions after the on-site walkthrough.
| Tier | Price range | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Good — Refresh | $15K–$25K | Cabinet refinish · new counters · lighting · paint · keep layout |
| Better — Reconfigure | $35K–$55K | New semi-custom cabinets · quartz · mid-tier appliances · same footprint |
| Best — Full custom | $75K–$150K+ | Custom cabinets · layout changes · premium appliances · lighting redesign |
What's included at each tier
Good — Refresh ($15K–$25K)
Keep the existing layout and the existing cabinet boxes. We strip, re-grain, and refinish the doors and drawer fronts in your chosen color. Counters come out and are replaced with mid-grade quartz (MSI Q, Caesarstone entry lines). New under-cabinet LED strip, new pendant or flush-mount over the island, fresh paint on walls and trim, new cabinet hardware. Appliances stay unless you've already bought replacements.
Better — Reconfigure ($35K–$55K)
New semi-custom cabinets in the existing footprint — Kith, Wellborn, Shiloh, or Decora — with your choice of door style, wood species, and finish. Counters are full-slab quartz (Caesarstone, MSI Q Premium, Silestone) or quartzite at the upper end. Mid-tier appliance package: KitchenAid, Bosch, or GE Café. New sink, faucet, garbage disposal, under-cabinet LED, and recessed lighting redesign. Tile or stone backsplash to the underside of the cabinets.
Best — Full custom ($75K–$150K+)
Walls move. Custom cabinetry built locally with your choice of inset or full-overlay doors, soft-close everywhere, integrated trash and spice pullouts. Counters are honed quartzite, marble, or premium quartz. Appliance package is Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, or Miele. Lighting is designer-led — layered ambient, task, and accent. We coordinate with your interior designer or bring one in. Structural changes (wall removal, beam work, electrical service upgrade) are scoped, permitted, and engineered.

Metro-specific considerations
North Texas kitchens carry a few constraints we plan for at the walkthrough. Plano and Frisco require permits for any electrical service upgrade, plumbing relocation, or gas-line move — permit timing typically adds 5–10 business days to the schedule, which we sequence ahead of demo. Older Dallas homes (East Dallas, Lakewood, M-Streets) often need a panel upgrade before a modern range and induction cooktop can be added. Slab-on-grade construction common across DFW means relocating a sink or dishwasher requires slab cuts — we scope that up front, not as a mid-project change order. Custom cabinet lead times from local DFW shops run 8–14 weeks; we order before demo so the kitchen isn't open waiting on cabinets. Collin County and NE Tarrant kitchens often run through master-planned HOA or ARC review when windows, exterior doors, or siding connect to the kitchen scope. Park Cities and historic-overlay kitchens (downtown McKinney, Grapevine township) can require earlier town-code or preservation review, especially when the kitchen is tied to an addition or wall removal.
Frequently asked
How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Texas?
A Texas kitchen runs $15K–$25K for a refresh that keeps the layout, $35K–$55K for new semi-custom cabinets with the same footprint, and $75K–$150K+ for custom cabinets with layout changes. Northern DFW quotes are calibrated for permits, access, labor, and material lead times before demo.
How long does a kitchen remodel take in Dallas?
A refresh tier runs 2–3 weeks once materials land. A reconfigure with new semi-custom cabinets takes 6–8 weeks. A full custom build with layout changes and structural moves runs 10–16 weeks. We order materials before demo so the kitchen isn't sitting open waiting on a backorder.
Do you handle permits across the northern DFW metro?
Yes. Electrical service upgrades, plumbing relocation, gas-line moves, wall openings, and some exterior envelope tie-ins can require permits. We identify each city's HOA and suburb-specific permit paths in the written scope.
Can you keep the kitchen partly usable during the remodel?
On reconfigure-tier projects we set up a temporary prep zone with a working sink, fridge, and microwave whenever the layout allows. On full custom builds with gut demo it's not possible — we'll talk through that in the walkthrough so you can plan meals.
What cabinet brands do you install at the Better tier?
At the Better tier we install semi-custom lines from Kith, Wellborn, Shiloh, and Decora. You pick door style, wood species, and finish from in-stock catalogs. Lead time is 4–6 weeks from order, which we sequence behind demo so the kitchen isn't open longer than needed.
Is financing available for a kitchen remodel?
Yes. Hearth offers 60-second prequalification with no impact to your credit score and terms up to 12 years. Monthly payments are often lower than the minimum on a credit card carrying the same balance. We share the financing link after the written scope so you can compare.
What's the warranty on a TrueForm kitchen?
Three-year workmanship warranty on every kitchen. Manufacturer warranties on cabinets, counters, appliances, and fixtures pass through to you. Home Care members get extended warranty support on covered systems.
How do you protect the rest of my home during the work?
Protecting what stays is standard on every project. We lay ram board and adhesive film over floors and stairs along every path the crew walks, hang zippered dust barriers with negative-air machines where the work calls for it, and seal HVAC returns so demo dust doesn't travel through the ductwork. Cabinetry, counters, and landscaping that stay are covered and protected, we clean up daily, and a final walkthrough leaves the home as clean as we found it.
Why TrueForm for a DFW kitchen
Three things define a TrueForm kitchen: a written scope before demo, a fixed price you can plan against, and the same project manager from walkthrough to handoff. We don't subcontract the PM role to a rotating dispatcher. Materials are ordered before demo so your kitchen isn't open waiting on a cabinet backorder or a counter template. Change orders are spelled out in writing — what triggers one, how it's priced, and how it's documented — before the contract is signed. The 3-year workmanship warranty is real: if a drawer slide fails because we installed it wrong, we come back and fix it. Manufacturer warranties on cabinets, counters, appliances, and fixtures pass through to you and are registered in your name at handoff.
